What Readers Are Saying About “Nice Bike”

“I did love your book, Nice Bike, although my surprise ending still frustrates me.  It was a great read in a beautiful setting; nestled in the pines just outside of an hourglass meadow in the shadows of Granite Peak at about 10,500′ el.  I had sat down, set up a decoy, and settled into the scrub oak on the edge of the meadow during my brother’s and my annual elk hunt in the Colorado wilderness.  The plan was to read a couple of pages, scan the meadow, turn the page and repeat.  After the first 20 pages or so, I was into the book and lost track of time and my hunt.  Upon finishing Nice Bike, I stood up for a nice stretch — that’s when all hell broke lose!  If you’ve never “busted” a bull elk, it’s quite a spectacular event, with the thunderous stampede of hoofs and busting of branches everywhere.  All I saw was butt & horns crashing through the aspen and pines — it was a “nice rack”.  Sad ending to a great book, although well worth the words of wisdom!”

“Mark, heard you speak this year in Dallas and really enjoyed your talk. I downloaded your book and finished it on the plane en route to celebrate my parents’ 50th wedding anniversary. I took that week and really connected with my parents differently than ever before. I found out things I never knew: such as where they met, where they went on their first date, and many stories of their first years together.  Your book inspired and made a difference to me. Sincerely, thank you. I enjoyed Nice Bike so much, I recently purchased 10 copies to give to friends and colleagues. Thanks again.”

From a reader who was moved to quote Mark’s book, Nice Bike in a letter to the editor of the Tuscola County Advertiser (tuscolatoday.com) . . . “Dear Editor: I am writing about the current funding/teacher crisis that is happening in Caro (MI) schools. It is not business as usual and unless all employees of Caro schools look beyond themselves, face reality and band together for the good of the kids to make a better school, circumstances will only get worse. To quote from the book Nice Bike by Mark Scharenbroich . . . ‘You need to have some core beliefs.’ [>Read full article]

“I just wanted to celebrate how great Nice Bike is!!!  Such engaging, relatable stories and Mark, your personality jumps off the page. You present the power of making meaningful connections seem so doable and worthwhile for anyone. I’m excited to see the book and your message reach the masses.

“I was fortunate enough to see Mark Scharenbroich live in 2006. I had heard several motivational speakers before then and several since, I have forgotten them all except for Mark. His message has stuck with me, and this book reinforces those themes I first heard in 2006. I have enjoyed sharing chapters from this book with my team at the office. They come in, asking ‘Is it Nice Bike time?’ and they have not been let down yet. The book contains messages that can enhance your personal and professional life, if you will let it. Nice Bike Mr. Sharenbroich!”

“With less than 4 hrs sleep, I got on the plane headed to Minneapolis at 5:30 am. Waiting for the plane to taxi out I had a choice: in-flight magazine to put me to sleep or Mark’s book. Opened the book and gave the intro a shot. Didn’t put it down till I had read it cover to cover. GREAT BIKE! It’s a winner.”

I’ve been meaning to order and read the book “Nice Bike” since June 2010, when I saw Mark perform at the HOSA conference in Orlando Florida. Both were a wonderful experience, starting reading and could’nt stop. I found the book to be very meaningful and I hope there is more to follow.
