In the hustle and bustle of getting through the daily grind, we tend to lose sight of the important role our teams play in our success, and we in theirs. I refer to this as the soft side of leadership. Mark Scharenbroich, Emmy award winning keynote speaker and author, refers to it as “Nice Biking” someone, an expression he coined from observing Harley Davidson owners interacting with one another.” [Read full review]

The assembly—sponsored in part by the North High Parents Club, Jostens and Boom Entertainment—focused on Scharenbroich's two secrets for making the most of high school: live freely and love a lot. Highlighting the transformation most students experience between freshman year and graduation, Scharenbroich encouraged students to embrace their interests and passions, and become engaged members of the Downers Grove community.
