Speaking Topics for Educators and Students
Mark Scharenbroich’s Nice Bike principle is about acknowledging, honoring and making connections that move people. Why is the Nice Bike message important to educators?
According to the Gallup Management Q12 research, just 28% of employees are fully engaged in their organization, while a whopping 71% of the workforce is either under performing or actively undermining their work.
Gallup states that organizations that focus on employee engagement improve productivity, develop higher levels of customer engagement, increase retention of their best employees, and improve profitability.

Gallup Management Journal: “Feedback for Real” by John Thackray (15 March, 2001).]
The same study holds true for student achievement. According to Minneapolis-based, Search Institute’s research on healthy youth, only 29% of middle and high school students feel that their school provides a caring, encouraging environment. When students have a strong, positive connection to their school, academic results follow.
What can be done about it?
Based on Dr. Willard Daggett’s “Three Rs” application model of Rigor, Relevancy and Relationships, Mark helps educators with both inspiring messages and solid methods in the relationship aspect of Daggett’s model. Your educators will leave the presentation with relevant tools they can use the next day to directly impact student achievement.
Using the Nice Bike concept, Mark Scharenbroich helps his listeners instill greater passion to their work and feel a profound connection to their school, their classroom and their students. Mark’s presentation acts as a catalyst for a stronger, more unified team.
